Is pof only for dating

They talk really pretty during the texting and courting…telling me everything I need to hear based on my profile. I am really clear as to who I am and how I operate. All of my pictures are from the last 6 months or less. The two men I met recently were WAY heavier than they said … I expect a little bit of paunch in a man over 40 but not a burrito pregnancy and expected not only sex within a couple hours of meeting but for me to literally throw myself at them as they act disinterested…complete strangers. I guess they are used to girls who front themselves as faithful and family oriented but are actually under cover shores and actually say something to me about it.

This is the weirdest dating environment ever and totally lends to an instant gratification buffet mentality. The girls on pof are the most narcissistic gold digging attention whores on the planet. Ladies please, stop being so damn shallow. If your old and busted with 3 bastard kids then you should be honored to even have an ugly guy write you. This is what social media has done to western women. You have so many thirsty pathetic beta males simping over average looking girls all day long that these womens egos are through the roof. What a bunch of crap!

I cant even believe you make money doing this. Lol, the truth hurts,. I had little luck on the site, but that depends on how you measure luck. When I was bored, I ran some stats and I messaged women over the course of 8 months. I received 36 responses. None of which were negative. Eventually more than half just ghosted after a few exchanges or I excused myself as it was clear I was just on some back burner. I received another 6 first messages from women. Not counting spam bots.

All in all from 42 women I talked to yielded 4 total unique dates. Interestingly I was blocked after sending 1 message about a dozen times… ironically by women I least expected to be blocked by. Spread my fins and work on my tan I suppose. For transparency, here my actual profile. To those I say please move on. There are beauty pageants for that sort of thing.

You just might not be as hot as you delusionaly think you are if you need POF as a beauty contest that you would probably not win in real life. There are lots of guys who will tell you anything to get your cooperation. You know what I mean. So keep it real. Keep looking, and you just might find your current boyfriend on here. Is she going to bring a step ladder on every date so she can kiss the guy? But they are vastly outnumbered by the others. So good luck in finding her. Most of these clowns should be under a tent somewhere juggling torches while riding donkies.

The heffers are great. Stick some make up and high heels on these matures and they will be open to all kinds of expoiltation if you tell them they are beautiful. Simply use them as cum dumps and move onto the next. I am a decent well mannered articulate man in mid 50;s so yes I can compose a well done profile. I am also a great conversationalist and can chat to anyone. I got lots of replies but met only one women and had many say the;d call me after giving out my number ,they made me wait over and over.

I started blocking them right until tonight when I deleted my profile. A few months after a crap break up, I thought I would try the dating scene again. Joined POF, first profile I saw was a picture of a friend of mine. Two pictures in fact, but all the details were wrong. I asked her about it and she was oblivious to the whole thing. I contacted support and told them that someone was using a friends pictures, and again got no response.

Did nothing for a week then contacted support again. Within minutes of my second message to them, my profile was deleted and I have no access to the site. I can only come to the conclusion that POF make their own fake profiles up, and as I knew the person who pictures they had stolen they had deleted me instead of doing anything about it! I completely understand what the author means by delusional. The thing is no respectful guy is going to put up with that, but the guys who just want to get laid will.

So those high and mighty inflated egos of women get stuck with the bottom of the barrel men, while ignoring the average guy, while looking for the cream of the crop. Women have lost their minds. They have nothing to offer and expect the world. What a joke of an article lol. Women are just as libidinously desperate. Women are also very fickle and liars. Another girl from pof named amy leigh wright did same shit too my friend hit it off agreed to be bf and gf they had sex said she was fallinh for him btw this bitch is fat as a whale with bug eyes he was way too good for her but she disappears tjen blocks him on facebook.

As a married adulterer pof is a great site. Older divorced women are the best and the easiest once you have spun them a web of lies and told them the right things. They tend to be the best lays and are willing to please. POF is also not bisexual friendly, which definitely sucks. A site with the M. If a site's janky aesthetics don't bother you, POF offers the largest variety of potential mates of all the apps on this list. Regardless of whether you're super picky with your type or have no idea what you want, there's pretty much no way you won't find a few people out of 90 million who you find interesting.

Hinge Hinge offers dating features that no other app has. Hinge gives the modern feel and no-patience-required matching like Tinder, but with the relationship rather than hookup mindset that sites like eharmony or Match offer. Pretty much everyone is on the same page and knows that that this app isn't for sex, but there's no pressure to rush into marriage either. It's chill, it's legit, and traditional swiping apps should be worried.

Hinge is the place for people who want a real relationship but don't want to commit to a full-fledged dating site with extensive questionnaires. Hinge literally labels itself the relationship app, or as I prefer, the "anti Tinder. While Hinge first started by showing you Facebook friends of friends, their algorithm has been getting smarter and smarter, and is now able to surpass friends of friends as a predictor of compatibility.

This means you won't be matched with someone all wrong for you simply because you know the same person. Rather, Hinge will help you get to know the other person more deeply than any new app has attempted, by revealing answers to juicy personality questions and detailed information like future plans, religion, and vices.

Seems like a pretty good recipe for a strong connection past looks, right? Hinge only gives you seven matches per day, which is a slight bummer. There's a wide range of people on this app, and having a day where all seven don't interest you is a definite possibility. But Hinge isn't meant for constant swiping — and everyone I know who uses Hinge including myself hasn't ever felt the need to upgrade past the free version. It's a step up from hookup apps but the perfect level of serious for 20 and 30 somethings who want something real, but don't need anyone asking how many kids they want just yet.

Tinder Tinder is where everyone is, and the setup is easy. Free, with optional upgrades See Details. We'd look like total frauds if we didn't include Tinder. As much as we bitch about this swipe happy app, it's just too popular and works too well to leave it off the list. It has its obvious negatives, but the user friendliness, instant connecting, and massive potential match pool make it most people's first download choice when they need a quick hook up or confidence-boosting attention.

Whether you love it or think it's trash, it's going to be one of the best for the foreseeable future, and those are just facts. Tinder is place you go to find someone to flirt with ASAP. Everyone and their mother is on Tinder, and the wide variety of people means you'll never not be able to find someone close. Tinder is great for finding a quick hookup with someone nearby where you live, and it's especially handy if you're looking for a vacation fling or a local to show you around while you're traveling.

It's pretty much online dating without the commitment: You can use it when you're bored, ignore it for three weeks, and come back to find new matches and a new crowd to swipe through. This isn't to say that Tinder is only used for finding a one night stand or friends with benefits situation, though. A lot of people are truly on Tinder to find a real relationship, and it's likely that you know at least one couple that met on Tinder if you don't, just look at these mushy Tinder success stories.

Because you're making your swipe decision based on someone's photos and a tiny bio that's usually just a Parks and Recreation quote, Tinder gets a lot of shit for being superficial. And if you're only looking for a casual encounter, this speedy, no-frills process is exactly what you want. You mean, other than the obvious fact that you'll probably get carpal tunnel from having to swipe through so many profiles?

Well, there is no real matchmaking process, so Tinder will suggest literally every single person in the age range and distance radius that you set. And if you specifically opted to only see matches of the same gender, Tinder will still throw the opposite gender in there, because they apparently don't believe that you can actually just be gay. There's a disadvantage to the whole swiping-based-on-photos thing, too: Because true matchmaking is nonexistent, that face of that hottie who you matched with might be the only thing you like about them. Matching based solely on physical attraction is just asking for awkward conversations, horrendous disagreements, and unsolicited dick pics down the road.

You'll be lucky if you avoid being messaged something totally raunchy and uninvited, but most users are nice humans and will state their intentions in their bios. Say what you want about Tinder , but it gets the job done. Everyone shits on the shallow matching, but that fast-paced action is exactly what many young people want.

If it didn't work to some extent, Tinder's user base would have gone downhill a long time ago. Love is a gamble, after all. Grindr his is the place for gay people who can't stand the heteronormativity of apps like Tinder or Bumble. Regular subscription with ads: Grindr is the world's biggest social networking app for gay, bi, trans, and queer people, helping singles get it on since Because there aren't a ton of women on it, it's usually known as the app for gay men — and at 3.

Though it's kind of pegged as a hookup app, finding a lasting relationship on here isn't impossible by any means. Just keep in mind that many users you'll come across aren't looking for anything serious. What it's good for: This is the place for gay people who can't stand the heteronormativity of apps like Tinder or Bumble, and is especially handy for those looking for a friends with benefits situation.

Grindr users have no chill. It's gay paradise, y'all, and if you've been thinking that you've met every gay man in your area already, Grindr might be able to show you some newbies who you never knew existed. Instead of swiping right or left to match, you'll get a borderline infinite collage of people who are close location wise, and honestly, it's super jumbled and scary to look at.

It can be a pretty speedy process if you want it to be, and most users just looking to hook up will let you know right off that they're not trying to make small talk. However, in , Grindr launched their thoughtful LGBTQ online magazine called Into in efforts to make itself look more like a lifestyle brand and less like a hookup app. Grindr also announced that they're working on an option for users to notify potential partners of their STD status as a way to stop the spread of infections among dating app users particularly HIV and AIDS.

They've tried this sort of thing before , but had some issues with sharing users' health information with third parties. Overall, their hearts are in the right place, and I commend them for trying to promote the importance of safe sex. You're also going to get badgered for pictures as well, so if you're uncomfortable with that, steer clear for a while. Grindr is hookup heavy. It's nice that most users are honest about their intentions AKA no feelings mixups , but people looking for a serious relationship might get discouraged.

We're not quite saying this a downside, because for those who strictly want to hook up, this is heaven. It's just something to keep in mind. If you're a gay man, an app that's specifically for you is your place to shine. There are obviously gay men on Tinder, Match, and many other dating apps, but that's probably their backup app, and you're likely to circle through the same batch. No one wastes time on here, and if you're in the mood and looking for someone ASAP, Grindr won't steer you wrong. Just don't expect to meet your date's parents any time soon. Her HER is the award-winning mix of dating and social media that lets you meet girls you know are girls.

POF Review (12222) – Does Plenty Of Fish Actually Work?

Claiming to the be the app that "introduces you to every lesbian you've ever wanted to meet," HER is the award-winning mix of dating and social media that lets you meet girls you know are girls, as it requires a Facebook account for signup and is solely for lesbian, bisexual, and queer women. Language is inclusive — it's not a lesbian site aimed at a male fantasy — and they'll help you widen your dating pool beyond the circles you already know IRL.

Trying to con people out of money by setting up a fake "someone is interested in you" notifications is a lack of integrity. This guy doesn't have integrity. Which is why we have a dating site that is being overrun by sexbots now, despite the fact that he has been working on this site for decades and has plenty of web development experience and expertise.

I never put the website or the owner down. I wanted to take advantage of the bug report and suggestion threads in the Forums. As soon as I explained the problem on the forums, I was attacked by a group of people, mostly women. Then later, some woman was complaining about how this stranger treated her like complete crap and she can't get over it and him because she was otherwise attracted to him. It was so long ago, I don't remember exactly. I probably said something to the effect that she needed to embrace her hate and anger a bit, otherwise she will find herself in this situation again and again for the rest of her life and always be a victim.

This wannabe moderator immediately attacked me and said that there couldn't possibly be worse advice than I was giving and then he basically sweet talked her and blah, blah, blah. I found out later that he posted a lot on the forums and signed every single one of his posts with his nickname, trying to bring attention to himself. Needless to say, he became a moderator. Markus must like self-serving douches like that.

Those two aren't really complaints. But this one is. I think that if someone only wants to receive emails from people within a certain age, then they can set limitations on their profile "only interested in men from " or something like that. It's already a profile option. But Markus one day decided to go far beyond that and you immediately can never ever message or receive messages from someone outside of your age range. I just disagree with that totally. Not only that, but for many years any POF profile I create has to have a certain number of characters usually around sentences, but women's profiles have no character limit I know of because I often see completely empty or two-word profiles like "Ask me".

And I live in a small farm town of 4, in the Midwest. I moved here from Columbus, Ohio around 8 years ago. And I live near a small city.

Pros & Cons Of Plenty Of Fish

For many years, I would say the vast majority of women's profiles were real. But now it has been taken over by sexbots. First it was one full search page full of sexbots that got deleted within hours.

TIPS FOR PEOPLE ON "PLENTY OF FISH"

Then it became two full search pages. Now it is more like full search pages of nothing but sexbots. I don't think people are spending massive amounts of time to create fake sexbot accounts to annoy him or POF users. As some said, they send you to alternate websites that they believe are also owned by Markus. So Markus could potentially be using POF to create sexbots to farm income for other sites he created. And if not, well he should be doing a better job of keeping sexbots out. I like POF because it is a free site and it is well designed. It is aesthetically pleasing. I mean there are some small things I don't like.

Like, why would you put eye color and hair color so far apart? Why is someone's ethnicity and astrology sign in the same line? I also ended up creating a user script to get rid of some of the crap he has on the site.

But overall it's a good site. My main two complaints are that he puts age restrictions where you can't see or talk to people outside a certain age range, no matter what, despite the fact that you can already restrict who can contact you like by age, location, whether they have a picture or not, etc. And the second complaint is that he let the site be taken over by sexbots. Someone like Trudeau or Macron. POF is the best dating website out there that I know of. It is just profiles and you can tell who takes the time to actually fill out their profile or not.

The Truth About Plenty of Fish | Outside The Box

I've soon realized that Plenty Of Fish is posting their own fake women on their website leading you to another website they own, it's funny if you write to them and say you're fake instantly they disappear, I can sit there right over and over and over again to each fake person and instantly they all disappear, if you see a pretty sexy young woman on Plenty Of Fish it's fake. They put that there How can one site claiming to help lonely people take advantage of them instead This site is awful. As soon as I upgraded, I already had messages in my account from bots with profile pics of scantily clad women.

Half the messages said the exact same thing: It's all just a bunch of fake profiles looking to scam you in some way or another.

POF - Plenty of Fish Review January 12222

This website should be shut down! I have had to create multiple accounts, only to find that the website utilizes shadow banning of users. Certain keywords trigger their system and then you have to change your password which leads to you being full shadow banned. Once you are shadow banned, you still have an account, but you will stop receiving mutual matches from real accounts. The website also uses deep fake accounts which is basically bots of profiles of users who quit the website. Me and several friends came across our own profiles being used, reported them, and POF took no action to remove the profile.

Nobody is off limits. One of my friends paid for a subscription and got banned outright and found out a user she spoke to reported her for being rude. She was unbanned but then realized a week went by without any messages or likes which is impossible for females. That is when she realized she had been shadow banned. POF also dumps cookies on your computer as a fail safe in case you delete your account to circumvent the shadow ban. They save your pictures and e-mail to add to the shadow ban list to ensure you are automatically banned or shadow banned if you delete your account and sign up for a new one.

One of the issues I have with the website is the large amount of prostitution and sex trafficking that is going on. The same accounts keep popping up no matter how many times they get reported and deleted.

This is pretty ridiculous that sexbots can get through and use the website more than real people with respectful, kind, and engaging messages. I am writing this review now that I reside in Los Angeles. In I met a woman and everything was pretty much legit.

I have received emails from Egypt, Nairobi, Kenya and Chad! All of the Threads started out innocent enough After all of the "African" women attempt to schmooze me with "near-naked" probably stolen pics and promises of "the best female companionship I will ever need for the remainder of my adult life" Does POF block these scammers? Perhaps not so lucky for other gullible men and women. I have been told that I am a very attractive man I am very humble so it's very hard for me to state this. Five Years ago I got many replies from women. In the grocery store I have set up an account here 4 times.

The first two times my profile was deleted with no reasoning whatsoever. The third time my account was hacked by my ex-boyfriend, whom I met on that site. The fourth time, I was deleted yet again with no explanation or reasoning. I attempted to contact "support" several different times, in all of these events, with no avail. When my account was hacked, they could have cared less.

They wouldn't even delete the profile. Yet, they will delete my legit account for no reasoning whatsoever. This site is full of fake people, perverts, inmates, bots. There really isn't much for security for people's information, profiles or login. I will never use this site again. The one man I met there is a wanted felon for felony stalking in a different state. The site failed to verify any info and so did he.

Steer clear of this site. It is shady and unsecure. There are far better sites to be on and there is the real world.

1. OkCupid

I must confess POF customer service, is a joke. I've called 3 times, all I want is an email to reset my password, and my account activated. They responded, we have filed a complaint. Well Hell thanks for nothing. Experian Fraud department 1 Equifax Fraud department 1 Many years ago when it first started out, it was not too bad, and it was FREE, unlike today it's no longer free anymore. Being on the site a couple of times with full profiles and photos, I got squat from the site, except for 16 females who saw me on "Meet Me" and I was notified they all wanted to meet me.

Once or twice a week I'd get an email stating I had new Matches! These people were "not" my matches, not anything even close to what I would date if met them on the street! I mean freaking ugly old ladies, over-weight, huge bodies, 74 years old! That's not a Match folks! I was stunned, and amongst the abundance amount of fake profiles, POF does not delete them and uses these fake profiles to advertise out to you to buy their premium account by having these fake profiles say they like your notifications, but you cannot view who they are unless you buy the membership. Aggravations users get having to deal with all this nonsense and POF supports it rather than taking a moral step to temporarily shut down and restructure their dating app.

Now, about that card info I received, I screenshot the message with her profile, and I reported it and 12 hours later, message and profile disappeared, but I also messaged that scammer they were reported so more likely the scammer blocked me. But I feel bad for whoever card number info belongs to and they have to suffer money loss damage.

Their company supposedly is located in Canada, you can easily look up the address, but if they were in my city, I'd be knocking on their door to have a goood talk. POF has the audacity to charge for upgrades but no common sense to use a verify system to verify people who sign up?? A simple submit your Drivers License with your photo would do wonders for this site.
